Llevaba mucho ya sin tener nada "para mi" en las agujas y el jueves por la noche empecé este bolso.
Antes de irme a dormir dejé el bolso ahormandose/cogiendo forma en un resto de cartón pluma.
El viernes, en casa de mis padres, le "robé" un trozo de tela a mi madre para el forro, lo cosí a mano, con su costura francesa y todo y luego, a montar el conjunto.
Coser el bolso a la boquilla me costó un buen rato y tres intentos porque no acababa de quedar according to plan. Al final quedó bien, buf!
Y como guinda le puse una cinta para poder colgarmelo, no es la que pensaba usar, pero no pude resistir la tentación, ¡es tan mona!
Y ayer sábado por la noche, después de fabricarle un cuerpo a Trekkie Monster para la producción de Avenue Q de la EOI (viva el trabajo en equipo y las pistolas de silicona), lo estrené para ir a cenar.
After quite a long while without knitting for me, last Thursday I started knitting this bag.
Before going to bed I left it blocking on a piece of foam core board.
Friday, at my parent's place, I "stole" a bit of fabric from my mother for the lining, I hand sewn it, with french seams! and then I put it all together.
I spent a lot of time sewing the bag to the clasp, I did it 3 times because I didn't like the results. At last I made it right! phew!
The final touch is the strap, it isn't the one I intended to use but, I couldn't resist the temptation, it's so cute!
And yesterday (saturday) night, after making a body for Trekkie Monster, for the Avenue Q production at the EOI (hooray team work and hot glue pistols), my new bag had its premiere going out for dinner.
