I've finished my Dryad.I love her, but, I don't think I'll be doing any more of them any time soon. Her hair took forever to finish. She's got 59 ringlets, every one of them is made of 35 chains and then 3 single crochets in every chain but one, so, 137 stitches each lock, about 8140 stitches (counting the slipped stitches to fix the ringlets in place), just the hair. FOREVER. I've had to improvise an afterthought skeleton to help her hold her head straight (some florist wire, thanks Mercé) Dryads are the female spirits of trees, so I had to find a tree for her to protect; and our Camellia is in full bloom....
He acabat la meua Dríade.M'agrada, però, no crec que en faci cap més de moment. Tenia la sensació de que mai acabaria de fer el seu cabell. té 59 rínxols, cadascun té 35 cadenetes i 3 punts baixos a totes les cadenetees menos una, o sigui, 137 punts per rínxol, uns 8140 punts (contant els punts nans per posar els rínxols a puesto), només el cabell. UNA ETERNITAT. He hagut d'improvisar un esquelet després de fer la nina per ajudar-la a sostenir el cap recte (amb una mica d'alambre de floristeria, gràcies Mercé). Les Dríades son esperits femenins dels arbres, així que li he buscat un arbre per protegir; i la nostra Camèlia està en plena floració...
